Is there any end to the outrageousness of some of today's celebrities? I don't believe there is. I swear, some of the things I hear come out of their mouths on television, or read about them, just boggles my mind. I realize I'm older, much more inhibited, and down right conservative, to say the least. And it even some what shocks me how this stuff is right there on daytime tv, and any supermarket shelf or tabloid. Even right next to the check out counters, where any child, or less sophisticated individual can see it.
Which certainly brings me to believe that just about anything goes any more, and that there is no level the downward slide of our society won't sink to. Look at the stuff we call entertainment these days, scantily clad women cavorting on the stage in DWTS, zombies, decaying flesh, and walking dead on television series, and some of the stuff they talk about on these day time talk shows. Oh kay... I'm no prude, but I cease to find the entertainment value in much of this stuff, or the need for it.
I am not a fan of any celebrity, but I do believe some of the younger ones go out of their way to be as ridiculous in their actions as possible. Some of what they wear could once be described as under clothes, and many people would not be caught dead going out in public in it. And the way they talk, the things they say, and how they conduct themselves, would have, at one time, been reprimand-able by parents. But as the saying goes, apparently any publicity is good, even if it is bad.
I was brought up to believe these people were supposed to conduct themselves as role models for the young. But, now days, I consider this quite frightening. They don't think going from man to man, having children out of wedlock, and many other things, are inappropriate behaviour. Call me square, out of touch, or whatever, but I still believe some body parts should remain covered, some activities aren't appropriate in public, and children, in most cases, should be brought up in a family.
